Job SummaryThe successful candidate for this position will manage the Field Service Center - Great Lakes Region.
This role will report to S&Cs Global Headquarters and will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the service center, including assisting with the scheduling of the Field Service Representatives and Engineers for commissioning, testing, maintenance, and repairs of S&C Electric products and offerings.
The Manager-Field Service Center will also be responsible for the development of the team, overall financials, inventory, and service vehicles.
This position reports to the Director - Field Service.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
o Manage and coordinate the daily operations of the Field Service Center (Inventory, shipping, receiving, scheduling, etc.
)o Manage the adherence to safety, quality, maintenance, and testing standards.
o Assist with the schedule for the regional Field Service team.
o Develop cross-functional training programs.
o Identify individual training and skills development criteria to meet departmental needs.
o Manage and issue periodic financials reports for the regional center.
o Track and report Key Performance Indicators.
o Travel as required to customer facilities / equipment sites for evaluation, problem solving, safety observations, and negotiations.
o Provide high quality service to internal and external customers.
o Coach and counsel direct reports; participate in establishing appropriate development plans.
o Assist with proposals/quotes for field services & parts requests.
o Identify and hire subcontractors as needed.
o Develop and maintain good internal and external customer relations.
o Write and conduct team member reviews.
o Initiate decisions regarding hires, promotions, corrective actions, and terminations.
o Participate in continuous improvements and other company efforts to improve productivity and or efficiencies.
To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:
o BS/BA degree or 5
years of equivalent - relevant electrical medium voltage distribution experience and knowledge to perform this role.
o Leadership or supervision experience within an electrical utility field service environment or similar electrical medium voltage distribution experience.
o Experience working with medium voltages greater than 4160V.
o Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to conduct presentations.
o Excellent organizational and time management skills.
o Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to influence team members as a role model in problem solving, communication, and team member development.
o Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
